KISAH NENEK SI PENJUAL SAPU Seorang teman menceritakan kekagumannya pada seorang nenek yang mangkal di depan Pasar Godean, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Ketika itu hari Minggu, saat dia dan keluarganya hendak pulang usai silaturahim bersama kerabat, mereka melewati Pasar Godean. Ibu dan teman saya tergoda membeli ayam goreng di depan pasar untuk sajian makan malam. Kebetulan hari mulai gelap. Di samping warung ayam goreng tersebut ada seorang nenek berpakaian lusuh bak pengemis, duduk bersimpuh tanpa alas, sambil merangkul tiga ikat sapu ijuk. Keadaannya terlihat payah, lemah, dan tak berdaya. Setelah membayar ayam goreng, ibu teman saya bermaksud memberi Rp. 1000,- (tahun 2004) karena iba dan menganggap nenek tadi pengemis.
